The new season of Moscow Fashion Week is scheduled from August 28 to September 2, with the Zaryadye Park as the main venue. Industry representatives from all over Russia and other countries are invited to join the event. Participants can submit their applications until May 20
on the official website, as announced by Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Moscow Mayor.
“During the fashion week, designers will showcase their new collections, exchange experience, discuss global trends and agree on the launch of joint projects. For Muscovites and tourists, experts will prepare lectures and master classes,” said Natalya Sergunina.
The Advisory Board will select the participants. Among the selection criteria are uniqueness of the idea, concept, commercial viability, and potential for mass production. Over the previous seasons, Moscow Fashion Week attracted more than 800 designers.
In keeping with tradition, an open Market will feature local brands, allowing visitors to purchase clothing and accessories.
In addition, the World Fashion Shorts film festival will be held for locals and visitors of the capital. The audience will watch films by Russian and international directors.
The previous season of Moscow Fashion Week, held from March 13 to 18, showcased designer collections from 27 regions of Russia and nine other countries.
