Russian designers submitted over 1000 applications to participate in Moscow Fashion Week

1038 applications were received to participate in the second Moscow Fashion Week

The number of applications for Moscow Fashion Week has significantly increased, with over a thousand applications from designers across 72 regions in Russia, with Medvezhyegorsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Elista, and Yalta intending to take part for the first time, said Natalya Sergunina, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

The country's grandest fashion event will take place in the Russian capital from March 1st to March 8th. The main venues will be the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" and Pavilion No. 75 at VDNH - one of the spaces of the International RUSSIA EXPO.

Designers from 151 cities in Russia, including Kaliningrad, Khabarovsk, Tyumen, Sevastopol, Krasnodar, and Tomsk, expressed their desire to showcase their collections at Moscow Fashion Week. Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnoyarsk, and Kazan had the most applications.

The Expert Council has the task of selecting the participants for Fashion shows, Market, and B2B showroom.

“Moscow Fashion Week is an excellent opportunity to showcase that Russia has world-class brands with premium quality and long history. Participation in this event gives designers the opportunity to showcase their collections to a wide audience and attract new buyers," said Vassa Yakovleva, co-founder of the women's clothing brand.

It's also fantastic to see the international appeal of Moscow Fashion Week with invited designers from China, India, Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey, Serbia, South Africa, and other countries. This not only promotes cultural exchange but also adds diversity to the event.

Attendees can look forward to a range of events during Moscow Fashion Week. There will be open Fashion shows at VDNH and World Fashion Shorts, a festival of fashion short films. The Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" will host the Business program, invite-only Fashion shows, meetings, lectures, master classes, a B2B showroom and Market. Key events will be broadcasted in social media and different Russian and international websites, ensuring wider accessibility and audience reach.
