Over 65,000 people attended the event over six days

Moscow Fashion Week X GigaChat, took place at the ‘Manege’ from March 14 to 19, drawing over 65,000 visitors during its six-day run. The event showcased collections from around 300 designers representing 21 Russian regions and four countries: China, Turkey, Spain, and Armenia.

Participants not only demonstrated their talent but also gained real opportunities to grow – from building new business partnerships to entering new markets. The program of Moscow Fashion Week X Giga Chat featured over 80 fashion shows, including 11 presented by students from leading Russian specialized educational institutions. More than 1,500 models showcased over 2,500 looks on the runway.

“Moscow Fashion Week plays a crucial role in advancing the fashion industry in Russia. It’s the only professional platform where talented emerging designers can showcase their collections alongside established brands. It’s really important that Russia has an institution that supports local designers and helps organize runway shows,” said Oleg Ovsiyov, designer of Viva Vox (Moscow).

“Every season of Moscow Fashion Week leads to huge growth in direct sales, offers a chance to invite clients and friends of a brand to a show right in the heart of Moscow, with strong technical and media support. It’s also a creative burst – an opportunity to develop directing and production skills, and gain invaluable experience. Personally, it provides me with clear deadlines for collection development,” shared Evgenia Linovich, founder and creative director of Masterpeace (Moscow).

Many brands drew inspiration from cultural codes, philosophy, mythology, and also reflected on technological progress and the future. Russian motifs meshed with cyberpunk elements, marine aesthetics blended with evening elegance, and retro-futurism shared the stage with modern minimalism.

Alongside the shows, a pop-up shop and showroom co-organized by the ‘Made in Moscow’ project  opened its doors, featuring clothing and accessories from 88 brands available for purchase.

Inside the ‘Manege’, a special AI fitting room by GigaChat was set up for attendees. This was Russia’s first experience where neural networks allowed visitors to try on runway looks created by emerging Russian designers participating in Moscow Fashion Week. Over the six days of the event, runway looks were generated by attendees more than 35,000 times.

VK Lecture Hall hosted 33 sessions with prominent industry figures including Alexandr Rogov, TV presenter, stylist, influencer, and producer; Alexey Suharev, fashion expert and host of the show ‘Fashion Podcast’; Liliya Rakh, TV host, buyer, Sauvage Group; Karina Nigay, stylist, blogger, and TV host; Yana Rudkovskaya, producer and co-owner of Plushenko Show, Angels of Plushenko, and Code de Beaute; and the stylist duo Mischa and Kitty. Attendees delved into topics covering fashion trends, the industry’s future, cultural codes, and more. Recordings of these lectures, as well as shows by Russian and international designers, are available exclusively on the official Moscow Fashion Week VK Video channel.

The event also featured 20 live broadcasts from the on-site ‘Moscow 24’ studio, welcoming fashion experts, designers, influencers, and other industry representatives. The official photography services were provided by the Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia.

On the final day of Moscow Fashion Week, the collective 'Made in Moscow' show presented outfits created using pieces from over 35 Moscow-based clothing and accessory brands, styled by Mischa and Kitty.

Moreover, the World Fashion Shorts film festival screened the best films from past editions alongside new partners’ projects. The program included films by directors from Russia, Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines, and other countries. The event included a public discussion with winners of the fall  festival program on how designers and filmmakers can connect with each other.
