Moscow Fashion Week will kick off on September 26 at the Central Exhibition Hall 'Manege.' It will once again bring together talented designers from across Russia and more than 10 other countries. The six-day event will host nearly 100 runway shows, while guests will be able to attend lectures by leading experts and the World Fashion Shorts film festival, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina.
“More than 350 designers will present their collections on the runway, in the Showroom, and at the Pop-Up Shop. The Russian fashion industry will be represented by participants from 24 regions, including Krasnodar Krai, Tatarstan, Kabardino-Balkaria and Yakutia. Moscow-based designers, including participants of the Made in Moscow project, will form the cornerstone of the lineup,” said Natalia Sergunina.
The event not only brings industry professionals together but also gives emerging and promising designers an opportunity to reach a wider audience. For example, around 100 students from leading fashion design schools and universities, including the Institute of Arts at the Kosygin State University of Russia and the National Design Institute, will take part in the runway shows.
In addition, this year the organizers, with the support of partners, have established an award for Moscow Fashion Week debut designers. When evaluating the collections, experts will consider the originality of the idea, conceptual integrity and quality of execution. The winner will receive one million rubles to develop their brand.
From September 26 to October 1, the Showroom and Pop-Up Shop will be held at the Central Exhibition Hall 'Manege.' The Made in Moscow project will become the co-organizer of the combined space. Industry professionals will be able to hold meetings here, while visitors will have the opportunity to purchase clothing, footwear and accessories. The Showroom and Pop-Up Shop will feature products from 96 Russian companies, more than 60 of which are based in Moscow. Admission is available with prior registration via the event website.
The lecture program will cover current trends, the influence of the Russian cultural code on fashion and the transformation of promotion strategies in the digital era. The schedule and registration are also available online.
On September 27, the World Fashion Shorts film festival will take place at the Khlebozavod No. 9 creative quarter. The program will feature 56 films by directors from different countries, including Indonesia, China, Türkiye and others.
From September 28 to 30, BRICS+ Fashion Summit will be held at Zaryadye Concert Hall as part of Moscow Fashion Week. Industry experts from more than 60 countries, from Brazil to South Africa and Vietnam, will join the Summit. The discussions will focus on promoting local brands, attracting investment, supporting traditional crafts, using artificial intelligence, developing innovative materials and other topics. Registration is already open on the official website.
Moscow Fashion Week will also include around 15 additional venues, including the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Petrovsky Travel Palace and the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts. For example, with the support of the Embassy of Egypt, the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts will host a presentation of clothing and accessory collections by nearly 30 Egyptian designers.
