Day Four of Moscow Fashion Week: A Stunning Showcase of Style

The fourth day of Moscow Fashion Week showcased a diverse array of shows not only from the capital but also from regional brands hailing from Cheboksary, Yakutsk, Tver, Uchkeken, Omsk, Kirov, and Elista. As part of the week’s program, an open Market featuring Russian brands and an International Showroom facilitating business collaborations between designers and buyers were ongoing. Additionally, four new lectures were held in the lecture hall, highlighting the educational aspect of the event.

BEENA (Cheboksary)

The latest collection from BEENA pays homage to the cultural heritage of Chuvashia, with a modern interpretation of traditional national costume complemented by the tukhya headdress. A significant highlight of the collection is a chest decoration made of silver coins, believed to be a talisman. Dominating the runway were a striking color trio of red, black, and white, alongside distinctive elements such as semi-fitted silhouettes, voluminous shoulders, contrasting embroidery, pleated skirts, and checkered prints.

DORA NIKOLAEVA (Yakutsk)

The Yakut brand DORA NIKOLAEVA presented a collection featuring natural colors such as khaki, brown, beige, and classic white. The runway was brightened by bold pink and orange looks, as well as ensembles adorned with animalistic and floral prints. A standout element was the use of removable voluminous organza sleeves. The collection also introduced a quilted coat resembling a padded jacket, embellished with phrases on the back, adding a unique touch to the overall aesthetic.

UNKE (Tver)

The new UNKE collection serves as a reminder of the impending cold weather, designed with winter and nature in mind. The brand showcased oversized coats and jackets featuring trendy round shoulders, with prints symbolizing the frozen ground. Irina Vorobyeva, creator of her namesake brand, reimagined the Russian folk costume for the contemporary world. The inspiration for LEFFERS' new collection stemmed from the mesmerizing nature of pearls hidden beneath the sea. The line features minimalist yet feminine pieces that elegantly fit the figure and highlight the silhouette. Textures blend satin sheens with dense fabrics, soft ostrich feathers, and airy chiffon. FLASHIN (Moscow)

The FLASHIN brand's new collection beautifully blends aesthetics, eras, and moods, showcasing a captivating mix of glamor, sport chic, minimalism, and bohemian style. Creative director Inna Onor draws inspiration from travel and natural themes. The collection features hues reminiscent of ocean depths presented in azure shades, alongside textured cardigans that mimic the foam of waves. Voluminous ruffles on airy blouses and dresses evoke the motion of these waves. Additionally, shiny fabrics reflect a smooth surface glimmering in the sun, while soft pink tones mirror the vibrant sunsets of the desert. The show also marked the debut of FLASHIN's shoe collection, developed in collaboration with the Moscow-based brand duet.by.me.

SPONTA (Uchkeken)

The SPONTA brand presents its own take on modest fashion, drawing from its roots in Karachay-Cherkessia. Designer Sapiyat Erkenova emphasizes comfort for women through relaxed cuts, high-quality natural fabrics, harmonious layering, and a blend of different materials and moods. Notable designs include flowing maxi skirts paired with thick-knit sweaters and velvet bottoms coupled with knitted tops. SPONTA's approach demonstrates that modest fashion can transcend overly simplistic or minimalistic styles.

ZUHAT (Moscow)

ZUHAT’s new collection explores the interplay between femininity and masculinity, examining the delicate balance between beauty and strength. The runway featured flowing maxi dresses harmoniously paired with satin bombers and structured floor-length dresses. Attention was drawn to transformer pieces, asymmetrical cuts, and detailed kaitag embroidery, as well as deconstructed jackets incorporating elements from traditional robes. A fascinating print featuring a denim skirt on a silk dress added a quirky element. The key theme of the Soroka on Course collection, showcased at Moscow Fashion Week, was transformable suits. SHATU 1997 unveiled a whimsical cruise fashion story, inspired by rare archival photographs of royal family vacations. Alena Nega’s new collection beautifully pays tribute to her beloved city, capturing the essence of the capital in every piece. The latest SHCHUR collection embodies the brand's core principle: a symbiosis of exclusivity and versatility. IGOR GULYAEV (Moscow)

The IGOR GULYAEV Fashion House presented a unique perspective on the combination of various textures and styles in its new collection. It features a captivating fusion of grunge and Renaissance-inspired aesthetics. The runway showcased a blend of geometry and volume, fitted silhouettes paired with oversized shoulders, 70s-inspired flares, and the comfort of 80s fashion, all juxtaposed with the elegance and flair of the 30s. Notable design elements included delicate lace, all-denim ensembles, metallized fabrics, and oversized pockets, with an abundance of luxurious fur—hats with earflaps, sleeves, capes, and both short and full-length fur coats.

In addition to the runway shows, the educational lecture hall hosted engaging discussions on fashion and cinema. Topics included “Looks of Heroines in Film Adaptations of Russian Literary Classics,” “Fashion in Cult Films and Cartoons: Icons that Changed Style,” and more topical subjects such as “The Language of Fashion: How to Learn to Speak It” and “Macro Trends for the Fall-Winter 2025/26 Season.” Esteemed speakers included Ilektra Canestri, a fashion and design expert and journalist; Ekaterina Andreeva, an art critic from Moscow State University; Elena Bugranova, president of the Union of Russian Buyers and founder of the wholesale showroom Via Del Buyer; and Stanislav Zimin, a trend analyst at the Center for Creative Industries at Moscow State University.
