Moscow Fashion Week has wrapped up, drawing an impressive crowd of 65,000 attendees during its six-day run from October 4 to 9 at the Central Exhibition Hall ‘Manege’. About 200 designers from 41 cities across Russia, alongside brands from seven other countries including China, the United Arab Emirates, Costa Rica, and India showcased their collections. This information was shared by Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Moscow Mayor.
"Participants had the opportunity to showcase their talents, forge new business partnerships, and exchange experiences with colleagues from around the globe. As in previous years, the event generated tremendous interest, with 65,000 visitors over the course of the week,” Natalya Sergunina noted.
Moscow Fashion Week featured 83 fashion shows that highlighted a variety of cultural influences and national characteristics. For instance, a designer from Cheboksary unveiled a collection inspired by traditional Chuvash costumes, while a representative from South Africa introduced vibrant evening and casual looks, with some garments creatively resembling butterfly wings.
Additionally, an open Market featuring 80 brands allowed attendees to purchase clothing and accessories, while an International Showroom facilitated professional networking among over 50 Russian brands and potential partners and buyers.
The event also included 25 insightful lectures from industry leaders, covering evolving trends and the impact of AI on collection design. More than two million viewers tuned in to watch the online broadcasts of these expert discussions.
Another highlight of the week was the World Fashion Shorts film festival, which showcased works by directors from Russia, Belarus, Colombia, Mexico, and Turkey. The festival featured selected films presented at the Artplay Design Center and curated by an international Advisory Board.
Moscow Fashion Week is organized by the Fashion Fund with support from the Moscow Government.
