The third day of Moscow Fashion Week unfolded with the display of modest fashion from a Dagestan brand and a breezy resort collection inspired by the Mediterranean coastline. Catwalks at the Manege captivated the audience with diverse collections hailing from various corners of our vast country, ranging from Makhachkala to Yakutsk. A special highlight of the day was the show by Spanish designer Miguel Llopis, who mesmerized attendees with an extraordinary collection crafted for leisurely strolls and vibrant summer adventures. The bustling market space continues to welcome guests, showcasing a selection of over 100 Russian labels encompassing apparel, footwear, and accessories.
Moscow Fashion Week, considered as one of the globe's foremost stages for introducing emerging talents, is also actively nurturing an educational initiative. Its primary goal is to provide support to new brands and aspiring fashion disciples. Esteemed fashion experts eagerly impart their wealth of experience and expertise through master classes and lectures during the event. The program spans from fundamental design principles and contemporary production techniques to brand administration and business expansion.
Fashion enthusiasts were treated to an array of fashion films from Argentina, Germany, Mexico, Russia, the USA, the Philippines, and South Africa at the Artplay Design Center, as part of the World Fashion Shorts festival of short fashion films. This special immersive film event attracted hundreds of guests, providing them with an enriching experience. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to delve into the art of editing fashion photo and video content at a workshop conducted by the New Media School, led by producer Gala Gagarinskaya and photographer Zhenya Vyzov.
ogo citizen (Yakutsk)The third day of Moscow Fashion Week opened with a captivating showcase by ogo citizen, a brand hailing from Yakutia. Maria Savvina, the creative director, delved into the theme of otherness and alienation in the new collection, as a reflection of navigating a cross-cultural environment. The entire line was crafted using upcycling, readymade, and distress techniques. The collection's essence lay in the unconventional fusion of materials, disparate clothing elements, and striking details such as fluffy fibers resembling feathers, accent seams, and a distressed effect. Noteworthy were the harmonious color pairings: from pomegranate and olive to buttery hues with sky blue accents, and dark orange complemented by the mesmerizing turquoise shade.
