On the fourth day of Moscow Fashion Week, the talent of Russian designers was on full display alongside international shows. The acclaimed Turkish designer Emre Erdemoğlu wowed the audience with his debut women's line on the Moscow runway, featuring the popular Turkish actor Uraz Kaygılaroğlu opening and closing the show. Two prominent Indian brands took the spotlight - Samant Chauhan renowned for its exquisite silk embroidery and CoEK - Khadi India - celebrated for its enduring commitment to natural fibers, in homage to Mahatma Gandhi's legacy. A standout moment was the presentation of Vyacheslav Zaitsev's archival collection, reflecting a rich 30-year history from the esteemed Slava Zaitsev fashion house.

Moscow Fashion Week welcomed a host of famous faces, including Olympic figure skating champion Evgeny Plushenko among other esteemed guests.

elisabetta (Saint-Petersburg)

In its latest collection, the brand elisabetta accentuated style through voluminous woolen capes, double-breasted coats, while wrap coats with waist ties effortlessly embodied a sense of refined elegance. The color scheme of the collection was an array of rich earthy tones such as tobacco brown, graphite, burgundy, and dark emerald. Drawing inspiration from the aesthetic of the 70s, founder Alyona Chuprina infused the pieces with soft silhouettes imbued with a hint of bohemian flair. The latest men's collection from the brand Edder epitomizes the essence of smart casual with finesse. The Institute of Arts at the Kosygin State University of Russia unveiled a collective collection. In creating the new "Masquerade" collection for the Kuchugova brand, designer Anastasia Kuchugova found inspiration in the historical tailoring of three distinct eras - the early 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. The collection showcases a fusion of styles, blending elements of edgy sophistication to complement the delicate femininity of each ensemble. Defined by loose silhouettes, pronounced shoulders, double-breasted suits, and cashmere trousers adorned with rhinestone brooches reminiscent of prestigious awards and medals, the collection embodies a unique and striking aesthetic. Unconventional details, such as incorporating stripes from men's pants into women's full skirts, and evening headpieces adorned with intricate bead and rhinestone embellishments, were seamlessly integrated. Amid these avant-garde elements, classic femininity also thrived in the collection, as evidenced by elegant maxi-dresses featuring thigh-high slits and voluminous skirts paired with waist-accentuating pearl-hued blouses.

FDCI presents: CoEK - Khadi India | Samant Chauhan (India)

A highlight of Moscow Fashion Week was the showcase of two designers CoEK - Khadi India and Samant Chauhan, presented by the FDCI. Their collections radiated elegance with a refined color palette featuring rich shades of chocolate, ochre, deep green, and luxurious violet. The striking contrasting linings on the garments made a bold fashion statement, especially on the models wearing the flowing maxi dresses. Among the standout pieces was an ethereal white floor-length dress that perfectly captured a sense of lightness and movement.

Cosarêve (Moscow)

Moscow brand Cosarêve presented a collection inspired by the smoothness of oblique cut lines, soft shapes of feminine, thin and light fabrics, combination of masculine oversize and elegance in the spirit of the 50s and 70s. Premium materials - silk organza, natural eco-leather, wool, excellent fit of the products, as well as the quality of workmanship, including interior finishing add a special completeness to the collection. Hand embroidery and unique prints remain the brand's trademark.

Bitte_Ruhe (Moscow)

The Moscow-based brand Bitte_Ruhe didn't just introduce a new collection but rather crafted a captivating interplay of colors and shapes. A standout feature of their collection was the wide array of hues - from candy pink and caramel to pale and raspberry pink, and mint green, creating a delightful contrast. Embracing a blend of sporty elements with a touch of girlish flair, the collection showcased cozy sweatshirts alongside baby doll style dresses. Notably, the brand delved into its own archives for inspiration, incorporating elements such as the bodice of their very first sweatshirt, the sleeves from an oriental anorak, and a dress design from almost five years ago. Interestingly, the brand's name translates from German as “Please be quiet!”.

Gapanovich (Murmansk)

The new collection of Gapanovich brand “Eudialyte” reflects the DNA of the brand and transmits to the world the highest values of love for nature, family and art. The main basis of the collection is the personal story of the designer and founder of the brand, Alexandra Gapanovich, based on her love for her father, who passed away, and her longing for their trips to the mountains in search of minerals. Particular attention should be paid to feminine silhouettes with an active shoulder and numerous details borrowed from the uniforms (pats, shleves, patch pockets, carabiners with pendants made of natural stones), asymmetry in structures, pleating, emphasis on outerwear and waist area. We must highlight the rich autumnal palette punctuated with vivid accents and the signature print named “eudialyte”, mirroring the hues of this exquisite natural mineral. The collection also features classic plaid and stripes, unconventional footwear embellishments, oversized bags, delicate glass jewelry, and glamorous rhinestone-studded gloves.

Levitskiy Deconstruction culture (Krasnodar)

Levitskiy Deconstruction culture brand hailing from Krasnodar, unveiled a collection spotlighting the structural aspects of fashion. Architectural cuts and a daring design philosophy characterized by intentionally unfinished aesthetics, exposed seams, and asymmetrical silhouettes, are fundamental elements defining both the brand's DNA and the showcased line. Particularly noteworthy is the capsule featuring pieces crafted from vintage fabrics sourced from various regions across Russia. Complementing these are exclusively natural and premium materials such as wool, cloth, cupro, linen, and cotton, meticulously selected by the brand's representatives.

Slava Zaitsev (Moscow)

Moscow's fashion house Slava Zaitsev showcased an archival collection titled “Eternity”, serving as a poignant homage to its visionary founder - the renowned Slava Zaitsev. The pret-a-porter capsule, predominantly showcasing gray and black suit fabrics, graced the runway with a rich array of hues and gradients, ranging from soft to rich tones. The sleek designs, crafted through meticulous moulage and flat cut techniques, reflect Vyacheslav's penchant for experimentation in sculpting new forms and captivating aesthetics. Upholding these traditions, the brand continues to evolve, seamlessly blending in mesmerizing flowing gowns and shimmering evening attire. The enchanting monochromatic outfits, inspired by the silent film era, undergo a futuristic transformation, evolving into dazzling cosmic creations that reach into realms beyond our imagination.

The Lecture Hall at Moscow Fashion Week played host to a series of enlightening talks, including "Treukh from couture: about the influence of Russian hats on world fashion ", "From idea to positioning: how to create a fashion brand with meaning", "The face of the season. How and why do modern visual techniques and trends work?", and engaging discussions on “Local vs. international glossy magazines: Navigating the challenges and prospects in the industry".

KEY BURO; Andrey Kudryavtsev, Ph.D. from KEY BURO; Andrei Abolenkin, a fashion analyst; as well as Angelina Kushtina, editor-in-chief of Grazia; Jurate Gurauskaite, editor-in-chief of U MAGAZINE; and Raisa Murashkina, deputy editor-in-chief of Marie Claire and Psychologies.
