Moscow Fashion Week Kicks Off with a Stunning Showcase of Russian and International Designers

Kicking off in the magnificent setting of Manege, Moscow Fashion Week commenced with a spectacular lineup of the first 15 shows, featuring talented designers hailing from Moscow, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Ivanovo, Lytkarino, Omsk, and Ulan-Ude. The runway also welcomed creative minds from Armenia and South Africa, adding an exciting international flair to the event. As Moscow Fashion Week unfolds, visitors can explore a vibrant market offering a selection of apparel, footwear, and accessories from over 100 distinctive Russian brands representing various cities across the country.

“Drawing talent from diverse regions across our nation and beyond, Moscow Fashion Week plays host to 180 designers who unveil their collections in a myriad of creative formats. The event has now solidified a consistent biannual schedule in line with international norms and the industry's preferences. This growing tradition sees both Russian and foreign designers eagerly participating in our acclaimed fashion week,” said Alexey Fursin, Minister of the Moscow City Government and Head of the Department of Culture of Moscow.

The captivating runway shows of both Russian and international designers attracted a prestigious audience of prominent journalists from glossy and news publications, as well as influencers, buyers, stylists, and bloggers. Notable personalities like Xenia Sobchak, Maria Minogarova, blogger, model and the charismatic host of YouTube's "The News Before Yesterday" show, and other luminaries, graced the Vereja show with their presence. The evening shows glittered with the attendance of stars such as Yana Rudkovskaya and the renowned artist Pavel Pepperstein. The front rows of the Rogov brand show were equally star-studded, with singer Nyusha, fashion icon Evelina Khromtchenko, esteemed stylists Misha and Kitty, Slava Kopeikin, Olga Karput, singer Hanna, the fashionable influencer Katya Golden, and many other esteemed guests adding to the glamour and sophistication of the event.

The grand opening of Moscow Fashion Week showcased the remarkable debut of "Margarita's Cruise Collection," a captivating exhibition by students from the Moscow Art Industrial Institute (MHPI). The show concluded with the graceful presence of Maria Minogarova, blogger, model, and host of the YouTube show "The News Before Yesterday." Moscow based brand Ammonit unveiled an exquisitely feminine and elegant collection that embodies the perfect harmony of quality and luxury. Rooted in the brand's philosophy is the belief in the beauty of simplicity, a mantra echoed throughout their designs. Creating clothes for women who value both comfort and sophistication, Ammonit's collection features a versatile range of garments. Rogov (Moscow)

Alexander Rogov, the founder of the Rogov brand, has once again captivated the fashion world with a collection defined by bold experimentation and a fearless approach to style. Embracing a spirit of eclecticism, Alexander shattered conventional fashion norms by artfully blending plaids, leopard prints, and floral motifs in a harmonious fusion. Daring to defy expectations, Alexander curated striking color combinations that pushed boundaries - from vibrant orange paired with zesty lime to the juxtaposition of grassy green and deep purple, and the dramatic clash of scarlet with rich pine hues. At the heart of the collection lay the leopard print, adorning theatrical gloves, outerwear, and striking collars that added a fierce edge to each ensemble. Alexander introduced unexpected twists, such as combining animalistic-patterned collars with coats in matching designs. Only the leopard spots of the outerwear were large, and on the collar – small. Here is another stereotype that was destroyed before the eyes of all the spectators.  Among the distinguished guests gracing the front rows of the Rogov brand show were luminaries including the renowned singer Nyusha, Evelina Khromtchenko, celebrated stylists Misha and Kitty, Slava Kopeikin, Olga Karput, the talented singer Hanna, the fashion influencer Katya Golden, and a multitude of other esteemed personalities.

In the Lecture Hall of Moscow Fashion Week, an array of different discussions and lectures took center stage, offering insight into a diverse range of topics that transcend the realm of fashion. Attendees were treated to thought-provoking sessions including "Expanding the boundaries and meanings of offline sales. Boutique as art", "Russian fashion as a marker of identity in the early 20th century", "Yves Saint Laurent and Russia", and a stimulating discussion titled "Why do global brands choose the style of a Russian aristocrat?".

The audience had the pleasure of engaging with speakers such as Olga Sysoeva, trend analyst and art strategist, member of the Union of Designers of Russia, associate professor of the costume design department of the Kosygin State University of Russia, stylist of the SERGEY SYSOEV fashion house. Natalia Punanova, respected associate Professor of the Moscow State Institute of Culture, Department of Design. Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (Design Section), shared her profound insights. Alexander Reganov, a personal stylist, VIP-shopper, training manager, and writer, as well as Elena Kravets, head of the Crafts Laboratory, producer, creative director and mentor, added their voices to the enriching dialogue. Anatol Vovk, a renowned fashion historian and art critic, and Alexandra Gapanovich, the visionary founder and designer behind the Gapanovich brand, lent their unique perspectives to the enlightening discussions.
