“I truly didn’t anticipate receiving such a high number of applications from students and recent graduates of Russian universities and fashion schools for Moscow Fashion Week. This response shows that emerging designers recognize the event is not just a hub for established brands, but also a crucial platform for growth, gaining initial professional experience, and an opportunity to connect with a broader audience and key figures in the Russian fashion industry. The importance of the lectures, public talks, and masterclasses cannot be overstated, as they cover topics that are rarely addressed in schools and universities”, said Olga Mikhailovskaya, a member of Moscow Fashion Week’s Advisory Board, fashion observer, co-founder of the online platform of Russian brands FRONT, founder of the Front Fashion Telegram channel.
“At Moscow Fashion Week, our students have the opportunity to make their mark in the industry. We invite designers with their own brands to the fashion show, offering them the possibility to select someone for their team or even consider inviting our students for internships. It's essential for us to provide students with a platform to present their creations to a wide audience. This not only adds prestige for emerging professionals but also highlights the exceptional level of training offered by our university”, shared Alexey Egorov, Head of Moscow Art Industrial Institute.
“Participating in Moscow Fashion Week is an opportunity to showcase the exceptional training of students and graduates from our university on Russia's leading fashion platform. Our students consistently win prominent fashion contests and festivals, and their participation in Moscow Fashion Week is a vital step toward launching their own brands. We firmly believe that they will soon be able to present their own shows at Moscow Fashion Week,” said Elena Nikiforova, Head of Ivanovo State Polytechnic University.
Moscow Fashion Week solidifies its position as the leading international platform for advancing and promoting new, distinctive national fashion and supporting emerging designers.
