Photo: https://disk.360.yandex.ru/d/VW8AUWGcKI1lIw Leading industry voices have revealed the top fashion trends that will shape 2026 on the eve of Moscow Fashion Week, which is scheduled to take place at the Central Exhibition Hall 'Manege' from March 14 to 19. This upcoming season celebrates femininity, refined silhouettes, textured knitwear, soft shine of silk, ornamental textures and harmonious pairings with soft white – the Pantone Color of the Year – renowned fashion experts Lina Dembikova, Tamara Ramazanova, and Yana Starikova have shared their expert insights into these pivotal trends.
The Return of Femininity 2026 marks a return of lingerie-inspired fashion after a number of seasons dominated by oversized and smart-casual styles, as noticed by
Lina Dembikova, a stylist, TV host, and founder of the Academy of Visual Arts AVA and Concept Store Selection. Sophisticated pairings – like lace lingerie with white shirts and fur boleros or colorful underwear worn over beige bodysuits and mesh long sleeve tops – new stylish combinations that will appeal to women embracing freedom.
Stylist and costume designer
Tamara Ramazanova, whose clientele includes a figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva and a singer Yulia Parshuta, encourages exploring nuanced shades such as cream white, gray and sandy tones, light pistachio, along with muted lavender and smoky blue.
Cloud EffectBuilding upon trends from 2025, delicate fabrics like silk, satin, and chiffon will continue to dominate, lending garments a dreamy, cloud-like or misty effect.
Lina Dembikova recommends integrating these materials into fitted silhouettes balanced by fuller shapes like balloon trousers to enhance visual contrast and complexity.
Tamara Ramazanova further advises mixing soft lace with textural counterpoints such as fur, leather, taffeta, or other structured fabrics.
Embracing RelaxationTamara Ramazanova points out that oversized styles, logomania, Y2K influences, and any “-core” aesthetics are trends that will likely be left behind in 2025. Meanwhile, stylist
Yana Starikova, who works with clients like Olesya Ivanchenko and Olga Parfenyuk, identifies a gradual decline in overly polished, well-coordinated looks: “The runway increasingly favors relaxed, effortless dressing – such as the pairing of classic suits with flip-flops. Moreover, in 2026 it's advised not to overload looks with jewelry and accessories.”
Moscow Fashion Week will run from March 14 to 19 at the Central Exhibition Hall 'Manege'. Stylists, fashion experts, and other industry professionals expect to see bold, creative cuts and avante-garde designs in the collections of participating brands. Oversized shoulders, cinched waists, flowing fabric dresses, intricately tailored capes, and sleek leather suits are forecasted to dominate the runway of Moscow Fashion Week.
Yana Starikova anticipates: “The upcoming season of Moscow Fashion Week, I believe, will bring layered textures with capes and jackets sporting dropped waists, enriched color palettes, daring contrasts, and statement pieces like fringed or feathered skirts.”
“We expect brands to present collections with a clearer, more pronounced DNA and signature style, including strong nods to our cultural heritage—a pleasing trend,” added
Lina Dembikova.
“Moscow Fashion Week brings together designers from across the country, and since our country is very large, it’s clear that designers from Moscow and, say, Yakutia, see the world differently—and thus their visions of fashion and clothing differ as well. But Moscow Fashion Week allows us to see all these diverse approaches in one place and at the same time, and from this ‘cross-pollination,’ new ideas emerge, which then turn into trends or, more broadly, a new lifestyle,” explained
Olga Mikhailovskaya, Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of Moscow Fashion Week.
Attendees of Moscow Fashion Week will enjoy a dynamic program featuring fashion shows, a dedicated pop-up shop and showroom, expert lectures, and the World Fashion Shorts film festival. Media representatives, influencers, photographers, videographers, stylists, and buyers can now apply for accreditation via the official
Moscow Fashion Week website.
